Free Medicare Counseling (SHINE)

SHINE is an award-winning, statewide volunteer program that provides free, unbiased counseling and information for people on Medicare, their families, and caregivers. SHINE is a program of the Florida Department of Elder Affaires and is administered in Brevard County by the Senior Resource Alliance located in Orlando.

Counseling will be available on Medicare, Medigap (Supplemental Insurance), HMOs, Medicaid, Prescription Drug Plans, and Long-Term Care Insurance. All counseling is first-some, first-served. Bring with you a list of all your medications or Rx bottles, insurance card, and Medicare card.

Reminder the Annual Election Period for Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans is October 15 – December 7.
