Guest speaker, Chris Meyer, MD, will conduct a seminar on “Vascular Health.” Dr. Meyer is a vascular surgeon who specializes in leg circulation problems exclusively. He graduated from Notre Dame University Summa Cum Laude and has been helping patients in Central Florida for over a decade. Dr. Meyer is an associate at Florida Vein Care Specialists and has offices in both Melbourne and Merritt Island.
As we get older most people tend to have some level of venous insufficiency that manifests itself in chronically swollen legs, varicose veins, and leg pain- sometimes even venous ulcers. Patients now wearing compression stockings and taking water pills may have better options.
This seminar will cover vascular health and how it applies to seniors. We will discuss causes of leg swelling, varicose veins, and leg pain. We’ll demonstrate new technology and therapies that are available to prevent and correct these leg problems. We’ll also have sonography available for on the spot vascular imaging. It’s a great chance for people to get a free vascular checkup.
Lunch will provided. Please call (321) 452-4341 to RSVP (required).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons needing special accommodations to participate in this presentation should contact Jessica Kruse at (321) 452–4341 at least 7 days prior to the meeting.
