SUMMARY:Baby Boomers: Preserving your Eyesight
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Frank X. Venzara\, III\, Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Retina Specialist\, will discuss vision issues affecting adults as they age and ways to preserve eyesight. \nTopics will include Macular Degeneration\, which is the number one cause of vision loss in people over the age of 50\, and retinopathy\, the primary cause of blindness for individuals with diabetes. Dr. Venzara will also emphasize the importance of a yearly dilated eye exam. \nDrinks and lights snacks will be served. \nIn accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26\, Florida Statutes\, persons needing special accommodations to participate in this presentation should contact the Sunflower House at (321) 452–4341 at least 7 days prior to the meeting.
